A couple of months back, I baked Dutch Apple Cake and that was an utter failure. I shared with my friends here and poor guys they could not say right on my face that it was bad so texted saying “Cake was good, had a different flavor” 😀
So when I said I was thinking of baking an orange cake, Stanley was a bit terrified! Upside down fruit cakes always caught my eye and wanted to give a try but after all the above did not want to bake them. But this Vegan Orange Cake recipe by Radhika, I gave in and made an attempt yesterday. Thankfully it came out good!
The recipe was adapted from this blog – Vegan Orange Cake by Radhika. I used only 1/2 cup of sugar as I like my cakes to be mildly sweet.
Perfect for gatherings and parties because –
- Ingredients are easily available
- Best when had with tea
- No need of an electric mixer or stand mixer, only balloon whisk
The only concern in the recipe is the all-purpose flour but once in a while, it is okay to indulge in a good cake 🙂
